How can students use Agentic AI as a tool for learning, creating, and experimenting?
We explored this question during the Agentic AI workshop at the Erasmus Data Collaboratory, as part of the RSM Business Information Management Honours course at Rotterdam School of Management, Erasmus University.
We started with a short introduction to Agentic AI. These AI systems go beyond responding to prompts. They can plan, make decisions, and take multi-step actions toward a goal. Instead of producing a single output, they can iterate, use tools, and collaborate with users to solve more complex challenges.
After the theory, we shifted to hands-on practice. Students used Claude Pro to design and prototype their own solutions. The ideas ranged from apps and websites to video game concepts. It was inspiring to see students experimenting, building, and refining their ideas.
A big thank you to Info Support, our partner for this session, and Jurre Brandsen and Sebastiaan T. for sharing their expertise and bringing real-world industry experience into the workshop. Their contribution added an important perspective on how these technologies are used in practice.
Most of all, thanks to the students for their enthusiasm, creativity, and willingness to explore something new.
