We look back on an inspiring and exhilarating National XR Day!
This year, at our own Erasmus University Rotterdam campus, a day full of immersive experiences, new ideas, and connection-building between forward-looking and creative minds interested in human-XR interaction and the impact of immersive experiences (IX).
Under the theme “Shaping New Realities,” we explored how we can use and develop XR applications together that truly make an impact in education, research, and help address societal challenges in new, exciting and promising ways.
The day featured a broad range of interesting speakers, such as our rector magnificus, Jantine Schuit, Frank Buytendijk, Jo (Jocelyn) Park-Ross-Park, interactive workshops, XR applications, and immersive experiences, including a #FashionTechExperience by Anouk Wipprecht and music by Rafaele Andrade.

Thank you to SURF for the great collaboration on this event together with our Immersive Xperience Lab team (part of Erasmus Data Collaboratory) and our immersive tech and AI-related EUR colleagues from the Community for Learning & Innovation – Erasmus University Rotterdam.
