Join us for the 24-hour Port Transition Challenge on November 15-16! This unique event, designed exclusively for students, offers you the chance to work on real-life problems and develop solutions that could shape the future of the Port of Rotterdam. You will make a social impact, gain hands-on experience, network with industry & policy professionals, and learn from experts while also having lots of fun!

About the event

Existing challenges at the Port of Rotterdam are provided by our partners and will be solved by you as student teams. The challenge owners will be present during the event to explain the challenges and give support – it’s up to you to solve it!

Over the course of 24 hours, you’ll collaborate with fellow students, go through the ideation process, guided by professional facilitators, network with industry &policy leaders, and push your skills to the limit. It’s a fast-paced, intense experience that mirrors the challenges professionals face in weeks or months — but you’ll tackle it all in just one day!

Who can participate?

This challenge is open to all EUR, EMC and TUD students. Whether you’re studying engineering, business, computer science, logistics, or any related field, this is your opportunity to apply your knowledge to a real-world scenario and make meaningful impact.
