Expert Practices

ECDA stimulates transdisciplinary approaches and synergies across domains to stimulate innovation, leveraging EUR’s unique synergy of law, sociology, art, business, economics, and healthcare disciplines and collaborating with Convergence partners TU Delft and Erasmus MC. We initiate and manage a portfolio of expert practices. Via the expert practices we combine transdisciplinary expertise in foundations and EUR relevant application domains in the context of the socio-economic impact of Data, Responsible AI and Immersive Technologies. Together, these provide the knowledge base for our applied research & innovation and lifelong development programs.    The expert practices are overseen by our Academic Directors – distinguished and forward-thinking researchers who hold prominence across various schools at Erasmus University Rotterdam. This makes it a truly transdisciplinary collective that represents the broad field of data sciences within the university. Each expert practice consists of a group of professors, PhD researchers, and frequently affiliated researchers from other academic institutions. Collectively, this makes a group of approximately 350 academics.
