ECDA Website and Analytics Coordinator Student Assistant (16h/week)

The Erasmus Centre for Data Analytics (ECDA) is looking for a Website & Analytics Coordinator Student Assistant to start in September 2026.

About ECDA

ECDA is Erasmus University Rotterdam’s flagship centre and community for exploring the societal impact of data, AI, digitalisation, and immersive technologies. Bringing together more than 350 researchers across diverse labs and expert practices, ECDA connects expertise from across the university’s faculties. We support applied research, experimentation, and lifelong learning, and partner with public and private organisations to develop and apply methods that respond to real-world challenges. ECDA is also involved in regional innovation projects that examine the societal impact of emerging technologies. We contribute by orchestrating stakeholder and expert involvement, providing execution support, and accelerating the responsible and effective use of technology.

We are currently looking for a dedicated and organized student assistant to join our team in the role of Website & Analytics Coordinator. This part-time role (2 days/week, 0.4 FTE) offers a valuable opportunity to gain hands-on experience in website management, digital content, and analytics, while contributing to a fast-paced, innovative academic environment.

As a Website & Analytics Coordinator, your key responsibilities will include:

Content Management and Updates

  • Maintain and regularly update website content across all sections, including News, Events, Homepage, Education Programmes, About Us and Expert Practices.
  • Create new web pages as requested, utilizing both content management systems (e.g., WordPress with WPBakery) and custom coding in HTML and CSS as needed.

Website Development & Maintenance

  • Develop and implement new website pages and features, with a strong emphasis on advanced CSS & HTML for interactive and visually appealing designs.
  • Ensure all web pages are fully responsive across various devices, including mobile, laptop, and desktop.
  • Renovate and modernize existing website sections, such as the ECDA pages, to align with current design standards and functionalities.
  • Conduct routine website audits to identify and resolve broken links, outdated content, and technical issues. Stay informed of website updates.
  • Work together with stakeholders to understand content needs and translate them into effective website layouts, narratives and user journeys (UX Design).

Analytics & Performance Monitoring

  • Track, analyze, and report on website performance using Google Analytics to provide insights and recommendations for optimization.
  • Monitor website traffic, user behavior, and conversion rates to inform content and design decisions.
  • Contribute to CRM operations, also ensuring a smooth alignment between the CRM and the webpage.
  • Analyze traffic and engagement across digital channels.

Collaboration & Communication

  • Work closely with internal teams (e.g., marketing, communications, IT) and external partners to gather content and develop communication materials.
  • Ensure website content aligns with organizational goals and branding.
  • Work systematically with IT and infrastructure departments to ensure responsible and secure webpage operations.

Job requirements:

  • Currently enrolled as a student at an accredited university or educational institution.
  • Available for at least 6 months.
  • Strong technical aptitude, digital literacy and proven ability to quickly learn new web technologies (WordPress and WPBakery) and experience with HTML and CSS.
  • Awareness of UX best practices to create intuitive and engaging user interfaces.
  • The ability to translate the communication of a marketing strategy into website content.
  • Detail-oriented with a proactive and problem-solving mindset.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to multitask and prioritize effectively.
  • Affinity with data, AI, immersive tech, and creating societal impact through these digital technologies is not mandatory, but is considered a pro.
  • Strong proficiency in English. Basic/Intermediate Dutch is a bonus.

Conditions

The start date of this position is September 2026. You will get compensated according to the student assistant salary scale at EUR. The position is for 16 hours per week (0.4 FTE) and follows a hybrid working model.
